Atong Ang and M1

Remember Atong Ang? A source at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confirmed the news about the "reincarnation" of Atong Ang's illegal gambling activities in Luzon. Ang is reportedly back in his old business in gambling. He was reportedly granted a free hand in controlling all gambling operations of "two-ball" and jueteng by a big-time personality code named M1.

"M1" reportedly gave Atong Ang complete control of areas from Nueva Ecija down to Bicol. Ang has also renewed his ties with Chavit Singson, who, controls provinces under Regions 1 or the Ilocos region.

"M1", some sources say, allegedly refers to First Gentleman Mike Arroyo. The mission of Ang, says sources, is to raise funds for the elections. Killings and summary executions are reportedly part of the overall scheme of Ang's group to eliminate the runners and hatchet men of his illegal gambling rivals from Nueva Ecija all the way down to Bicol.

Runners and men of Tony Santos, who controls Marikina and some parts of Metro Manila, were reportedly executed by the group of Ang.

Ang, says sources in the patriotic ranks inside the Philippine National Police (PNP) has maintained a team of former military men and police officers who allegedly undertook a salvaging campaign since May of this year. This has yet to be confirmed though.

Poll Automation in Philippine 2010 elections--okey na ba?

In a few minutes from now, we'll know what would happen to the automated poll plan. Remember that the consortium who won the automation contract, Smartmatic and Total Information Management (TIM) had a public spat. TIM withdrew from the consortium due to some disagreements with Smartmatic. Yesterday, both parties met and after almost 12 hours of marathon meetings, reportedly arrived at a decision, says COMELEC Legal head Atty. Ferdinand Rafanan.

Rafanan said that he's quite confident that the news is favorable and the automation of the elections will push thru.

That's good news.

Philippine 20/20

Greetings my friend.

If you're reading this right now, your one of millions of Filipinos throughout the globe who want change. Yes, change.

Philippine 20/20 is actually a blog forum, meant for those who want to contribute their share in nation-building. Nation-building, by the way, entails not just political changes. No.

What this forum wants is to encourage Filipinos to give their thoughts on how to change the structures of governance, of society and of the economy of our country.

Everyone is welcome here.

Now, for those with weak hearts or what others call "onion skinned" or "balat sibuyas", be forewarned. I expect this site to be "fiery" in the sense that opinions are sure to be emotionally-charged. People who have principles are also very passionate about them. They meant no harm though. Don't take things personally. These are just thoughts.

I intend to submit the opinions and visions of each and every Filipino here to the next administraton. Hopefully, the suggestions in this site would be considered by the next president.

So, share your thoughts here.ug9xafjnp7
